Sculpted by the elements, found and reclaimed wood is the core of my bespoke designs.
Beer beach in Devon, is one of my favourite areas to seek driftwood and more recently
old deckchair wood. Aged between 80-100years the broken deckchairs are beyond repair
and lend themselves magically to be transformed into fascinating bespoke frames.
Kenno’s café on the seafront, run by Alan and his wife, also manage the beach
huts and deckchairs, they kindly keep aside the wood which I use for my art. I enjoy
reusing and recycling such materials, giving the wood a new value and purpose by
transforming it into original and beautiful works of art, often with a practical
purpose, which can be integrated into the home to create a unique impression.
