TideLine Jewellery
Designed and created by local artist Rosey Reed. With a passion for creating decorative rustic art, I have recently explored making jewellery using locally collected driftwood. Roaming the beaches of Devon, Dorset and Somerset, I have an eye to spot and pickup delicate pieces of wood hidden amongst the rocky outcrops and pebble mounds. I intricately arrange these individual pieces of driftwood amongst a selection of glass and wooden beads to make original compositions of jewellery.
The name TideLine was created by me after I was inspired to maintain the fresh, real essence of the tide lapping the wood on the beach by carefully dipping each piece of collected driftwood in varnish to create the water effect forever. This is a subtle and unique attention to detail which I have captured.
I am enthusiastic to develop my ideas, create new designs both inspired and restrained by my raw material; the alluring driftwood.
